The US Department of Defense has awarded Boeing a contract worth up to $131.23 billion to overhaul, modernize, and support the international F-15 combat aircraft fleet.

Dubbed the “F-15 Eagle Crest,” the deal covers new F-15EX variant production, systems integration, retrofits, and sustainment for the US Air Force, Air National Guard, and military allies.

The deal extends through August 2037, with an initial ordering window closing in 2031.

Special Repair Hubs Planned

Central to the agreement is the establishment of dedicated sustainment depots to accelerate high-level repairs and avionics upgrades directly within military facilities.

The contract follows the US Air Force’s opening of a similar facility at the Warner Robins Air Logistics Complex in Georgia to fast-track integration of the Eagle Passive Active Warning Survivability System onto the F-15E Strike Eagles.

Allied Nations Covered

Foreign military sales represent a major part of the contract, delivering lifecycle support to existing F-15 program partners Israel, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Japan, and Singapore.

Services are also offered alongside potential operators Poland and Indonesia, according to the Pentagon notice.

Related activities will take place at Boeing’s manufacturing plant in St. Louis, Missouri, with the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, managing the project.

"This comprehensive defense framework guarantees that our military units and international allies maintain air superiority well into the next decade," Aviation News quoted a senior defense procurement official as saying.
