A vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) aircraft is at the heart of BETA Technologies’ effort to transform military logistics.
Described as an autonomous hybrid-electric system, the "MV250" promises to deliver longer range, higher speed, and increased payload capacity for both airfield and austere-site logistics.
BETA said the aircraft has a reposition range of over 1,300 nautical miles (1,496 miles/2,408 kilometers) and can haul a 2,000-pound (907-kilogram) payload across distances of 250 nautical miles (288 miles/463 kilometers).
