Boeing and the US Air Force linked a T-7A simulator with a live jet over 130 miles away, proving real-time interaction, high-fidelity data.

Boeing and the US Air Force have pulled off a training milestone: linking a T-7A Red Hawk flight simulator with a live jet in real time.

The demo tied the ground-based simulator’s synthetic environment to an actual aircraft in flight, letting both pilots interact as if they were sharing the same battlespace.

The jet flew more than 130 miles (210 kilometers) from the simulator while maintaining a stable, high-fidelity data stream — a key factor for realistic mission rehearsal.
