Classic Dornier Utility Aircraft Returns as the Next-Gen ‘Do228 NXT’

A new demonstrator for the Do228 NXT aircraft is making its first public appearance, marking the transformation of the four-decade-old Dornier 228 utility aircraft into a modernized multi-mission platform.

Developed by General Atomics AeroTec Systems, the Do228 NXT features upgraded cockpit and avionics systems, along with a larger cabin for improved crew comfort during operations.

It is compatible with a wide range of mission equipment and sensors, allowing it to support maritime patrol, surveillance, disaster response, and cargo transport missions.
