Israel Aerospace Industries has completed a new test of the Arrow Weapon System.
Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) has completed a new test of the Arrow Weapon System as Israel and the US continue upgrading the missile defense system against evolving threats.
The test was conducted with the Israeli Missile Defense Organization within Israel's Ministry of Defense, the US Missile Defense Agency, and the Israel Defense Forces as part of a multiyear program to develop the Arrow's capabilities.
IAI, the system's prime developer, did not disclose the specific scenario, interceptor variant, or target used in the test. The company said the event was part of the broader effort to validate and improve the system's performance.
The Arrow is designed to provide Israel's upper-tier defense against long-range ballistic missiles. The system includes the Arrow 2 and Arrow 3 interceptors and was jointly developed with the US.
Arrow Moves Into Production and Deployment
The latest test comes as Israel continues to expand both the production capacity and international use of the system.
In April, Tel Aviv approved a plan to significantly increase the production rate and stockpile of Arrow interceptors in response to evolving threats. IAI leads the system's development and production, with Elta, Elbit Systems, Tomer, and Rafael also participating in the program.
In February, IAI began live-fire testing of its next-generation Arrow 4 interceptor. Also developed jointly with the US, the interceptor incorporates AI and machine learning into its guidance suite.
Earlier, in December 2025, Germany's military put into service the first part of its roughly $4-billion Arrow ballistic missile defense system, which will form part of the broader European Sky Shield initiative.
