Turkish firm Electronic Warfare Systems Engineering (EHSIM) is set to equip the upcoming KAAN fighter jets with “next-generation” tools to boost their survivability against advanced radar and drone threats.
The first tool, called the RF Active Expendable Decoy Systems (SIS), is a mission-disposable decoy designed to “outsmart” enemy detection systems and keep jets safe from aerial threats.
It can reportedly make a single aircraft appear as 10 to 20 separate targets on hostile radars, creating confusion and diluting enemy firepower.
