L&T and Bharat Team Up to Chase India’s Next-Gen Fighter Jet Dream

Indian defense giant Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has joined forces with state-owned Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) in a bid to manufacture the country’s next-generation fighter jets.

L&T aims to combine its aerospace platform experience with BEL’s expertise in defense electronics as the consortium vies for a fifth-generation aircraft contract.

The jets will be developed under India’s Advanced Multirole Combat Aircraft (AMCA) program, with the partnership set to respond to the Aeronautical Development Agency’s (ADA) notice in the coming weeks.
