AE Industrial Partners has established a new national security intelligence company through the acquisition and rebranding of a data intelligence and analytics provider.
The private equity firm announced the launch of Attilius Technologies, describing it as a national security-focused platform that will provide services across the intelligence lifecycle, from primary-source data collection to deployment.
Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. AE Industrial said the transaction builds on a longstanding relationship between the firm and the acquired company's founder, but it did not identify the acquired business by name.
Attilius will provide data intelligence and analytic solutions for the intelligence community and the US Department of Defense. AE Industrial said the company combines data collection, proprietary software, and analytics to address mission-critical national security requirements.
"Data intelligence that enables government agencies to detect, assess, and respond to an evolving threat landscape with greater speed and precision has become an increasingly critical component of national security," AE Industrial managing partner Kirk Konert said.
Companies Expand Defense Intelligence
Several defense and technology companies have recently used acquisitions to add specialized intelligence and data capabilities.
In April, Bridge Defense acquired Syntelligent Analytic Solutions, adding all-source intelligence analysis, geospatial analytics, and cyber analytics to its existing software and deployable systems portfolio.
The same month, Scale AI bought ICG Solutions to expand its national security AI capabilities. ICG specializes in real-time streaming data analytics, while Scale said the deal would combine those capabilities with its AI platform.
Earlier, in May 2025, Leidos purchased Kudu Dynamics to expand its AI-enabled cyber capabilities. Kudu specializes in automated targeting, hardware reverse engineering, and other cyber capabilities.
