Maryland-based digital services firm SMX is teaming with Google Public Sector to pilot AI solutions for US military missions.
The project, part of the Pentagon’s Long-Range Enterprise Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (LEIA) task order, will test selected AI software designed to improve communications, speed up processes, and make smarter calls on the frontlines.
The collaboration will see the usage of Google’s in-house capabilities, such as the Optical Character Recognition, Google Translate, and other advanced machine learning capabilities.
