AI Threat Detection System Trained in Ukraine Heads to US Drones

Safe Pro Group’s battlefield-trained AI is moving from Ukraine to US platforms, with Red Cat set to integrate the company’s threat-detection technology into its Black Widow drones.

The Safe Pro Object Threat Detection (SPOTD) system can identify more than 150 types of explosive threats — from landmines and anti-personnel mines to cluster munitions and unexploded ordnance.

It processes live 4K video directly on the drone, analyzing footage at the tactical edge to spot and classify threats without relying on cloud connectivity.
