DarkPulse has secured an agreement with the US Navy to commercialize a set of laser sensing and targeting technologies.

DarkPulse has secured an agreement with the US Navy’s Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division to commercialize a set of laser sensing and targeting technologies.

The deal gives the Arizona-based company exclusive US rights to three navy-held patents related to laser detection and ranging (LADAR) technology and precision timing systems.

These include technologies for object detection, high-resolution three-dimensional imaging, velocity measurement, and spatial targeting.

LADAR works similarly to radar but uses laser light instead of radio waves to detect, measure, and generate detailed images of objects, often with higher precision at shorter or medium ranges.

Laser Sensing 

The agreement expands DarkPulse’s access to defense-developed sensing technologies as the company seeks to extend its portfolio beyond distributed fiber-optic monitoring systems used for infrastructure and security applications.

Among the licensed technologies is a pulse timing system designed to improve measurement accuracy and targeting precision in laser-based applications. 

The other two patents cover LADAR imaging architectures that combine different laser sensing techniques to enhance object identification and environmental awareness in complex operating conditions.

According to the company, the agreement also supports plans to commercialize a laser targeting system developed by the Naval Air Warfare Center, with a working prototype expected to be transferred to a manufacturing partner as part of that process.
