The Pentagon’s Supply Chain Is Getting an AI Watchdog

The US Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) wants AI agents watching over warehouses, suppliers, and inventory, turning fragmented supply chain data into a real-time picture and flagging problems before they become disruptions.

The effort will bring DLA’s data together in a unified cloud environment, giving AI agents a broader view of the logistics network and helping personnel respond to emerging risks.

For example, AI could detect when a wildfire threatens suppliers or facilities and help officials decide whether inventory needs to be relocated.
