The US Army has awarded General Dynamics Land Systems a $54.3-million contract to provide field-level maintenance and other sustainment support for its Stryker fleet.
Under the deal, General Dynamics will provide original equipment manufacturer support, field service representatives, and fielding activities when the army's electronic technical manuals and logistics products are not yet fully integrated.
The contract runs through August 24, 2031, while individual work locations and funding will be determined through future orders.
The Stryker is the primary combat and combat-support vehicle of the army’s Stryker Brigade Combat Teams, providing infantry units with protected mobility, firepower, and the ability to move quickly across the battlefield.
Built on an eight-wheeled platform, the fleet includes variants for infantry transport, reconnaissance, command and control, medical evacuation, engineering, mortar support, and anti-tank missions.
Stryker Modernization
The latest award supports the US Army's continuing investment in the Stryker fleet.
In December 2025, the service tested an upgraded version of its Stryker armored vehicle equipped with a 30mm autocannon during a weeklong exercise at Yakima Training Center.
Soldiers conducted live-fire drills while using digital command-and-control tools that provided commanders with real-time data to adjust vehicle positioning and fire controls based on terrain and movement.
Earlier, in March 2025, the US Army received its first Strykers featuring new and upgraded “double-V” hulls designed to deflect mine and explosive blasts away from the vehicle, improving protection for personnel.
In February 2025, General Dynamics began evaluating enhanced armor designs for the Stryker under the army’s Stryker Enhanced Armor program. The six-month review will assess the integration and durability of armor technologies developed by the DEVCOM Ground Vehicle Systems Center.
