Pilots of US Navy fixed-wing aircraft are gearing up for a new generation of headborne protection as Michigan-based Gentex Corporation is set to supply the service with its PURSUIT helmet system.

Designed to support modern helmet-mounted displays, PURSUIT uses a lightweight carbon shell frame to reduce neck and spine strain for users.

Its optimized center of gravity also helps lower the risk of injury during extended missions and high-G force maneuvers.
