Lockheed Martin and Rheinmetall have completed the first live-fire test of the Global Mobile Artillery Rocket System (GMARS), a next-gen launcher capable of firing twice the payload of HIMARS.

The dual-pod launcher blends combat-proven US missile systems with a European-built 8x8 tactical truck tailored for NATO use.

It can fire up to 12 Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System (GMLRS), four Precision Strike Missiles (PrSM), or two Army Tactical Missile Systems (ATACMS).
