Oshkosh partnered with the US Marine Depot Maintenance Command for the production of spare parts using advanced manufacturing technologies.

Oshkosh Defense has signed a public-private partnership agreement with the US Marine Depot Maintenance Command to support the production of spare parts for military equipment using advanced manufacturing technologies.

The initiative aims to accelerate repairs, reduce equipment downtime, and support operational availability across military fleets.

Under the agreement, Oshkosh will act as the original equipment manufacturer.

The company will provide validated technical data packages for selected components, enabling approved facilities to manufacture authorized replacement parts in compliance with required technical and quality standards.

Data transmission will take place through the Digital Manufacturing Exchange, a platform that controls access to technical information, safeguards intellectual property, and ensures cybersecurity protections during the manufacturing process.

“Our role is to help fleets repair quickly and return to mission-capable status,” said Pat Williams, Chief Programs Officer at Oshkosh Defense.

“The ability to rapidly repair and replenish equipment in theater so forces can sustain the fight is a powerful deterrent in today’s operational environment.”

Latest Contracts

The agreement follows a series of recent US Army contracts awarded to Oshkosh Defense for the production and support of military vehicles.

In February, the US Army awarded the company an additional $25-million contract for Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles A2 Low Velocity Airdrop cargo vehicles and related kits.

The order covers additional 4×4 variants, expanding on a prior 97 vehicle contract and bringing total orders for the platform to 797 units.

In January, Oshkosh Defense secured a $53-million contract to supply Common Bridge Transporters to the army.

Designed to transport, launch, and retrieve bridge bays and bridge boats, the vehicles enable units to cross rivers and other physical obstacles.

The systems are intended to support mobility operations, including in challenging or contested environments.
