Silvus Puts Tactical Networking on Soldier’s Chest

Silvus Technologies has introduced a tactical networking system built to enhance mission-critical connectivity while being mounted on a soldier’s chest.

The system, dubbed StreamCaster NEXUS, streamlines situational awareness by improving access to live video, voice, and data for units on the battlefield. It is reportedly optimized for size, weight, and power, allowing greater flexibility for military operations on the move.

At its core is Silvus’ SM5200 mobile ad hoc network radio, which offers up to two watts of transmit power and data rates exceeding 100 megabits per second. It can also pair with Samsung S23 and S23 TE mobile phones.
