Commercial XR expertise is being adapted for defense training and field support.
Honolulu-based mixed reality firm Trigger XR is adapting AI-enabled smart glasses and immersive training technologies for military applications, drawing on expertise gained in commercial entertainment and digital experiences.
According to founder and chief executive officer Jason Yim, the technologies were originally built for sports and are now extending into defense and government use cases.
Trigger XR develops extended reality (XR) technologies spanning virtual, augmented, and mixed reality environments for immersive training and information delivery.
