The Teaser missile utilizes an external sight called Automatic Command-to-Line-Of-Sight to guide it to the target.
“The Teaser Sight uses internal day and night vision channels and can also use external video sources thus enabling the system to be configured to the user’s specific needs requiring any changes or adaptations to the missile,” an IAI brochure explained.
Not relying on the global navigation satellite system (GNSS) for guidance makes it immune to GNSS jamming and spoofing.
Missile Features
The Teaser tries to strike a balance between traditional unguided missiles that offer limited range and less protection and current guided missiles that are heavier, more costly, and require training.
The weapon weighs less than 5 pounds (2.2 kilograms) and can strike targets up to 2,500 meters (8,202 feet) away while maintaining a low signature during launch and flight.
It requires less than three days of training to operate and has a speed of 200 meters (656 feet) per second.
The weapon features a multipurpose anti-structure warhead to strike moving targets, such as personnel, lightly armored vehicles, and low-altitude aerial vehicles.
Moreover, it can be fired from over the shoulder or operated remotely, offering a range of deployment options.
