Unveiled at the annual Space and Missile Defense Symposium, the "Golden Dome for America Ecosystem Hub" allows vendors to submit capability statements and concepts directly to program managers, bypassing delays associated with development and acquisition.
The portal provides unclassified visibility into active program gaps across areas such as artificial intelligence, space systems, sensors, electronic warfare, and kinetic interceptors.
Through the portal, officials aim to lower barriers for non-traditional defense firms, venture capital, research laboratories, and academic institutions.
Gen. Michael Guetlein, director of Golden Dome, highlighted that the approach is anchored to commercial-off-the-shelf technologies and market competition to curb long-term costs.
The website includes a security protocol to promote intellectual property protection, alongside shared data sandboxes for future analytics testing.
“To defeat a new generation of sophisticated, maneuvering aerial threats, we must build a defensive shield that adapts faster than the adversary,” Guetlein stated.
“We are doing this by cutting bureaucratic red-tape, harnessing innovation through partnerships, and leveraging the true power of the Arsenal of Freedom.”
