The Indian Army has locked in a patent for its homegrown “Automatic Target Classifying System based on Artificial Intelligence,” a leap forward in the country’s tactical tech development.

The Indian Army has locked in a patent for its homegrown “Automatic Target Classifying System based on Artificial Intelligence (AI),” a leap forward in the country’s tactical tech development.

Created by Col. Kuldeep Yadav, the system uses sensors and algorithms to scan radar signals and instantly sort out what’s on the screen — whether it’s an aircraft, vehicle, or personnel — without human assistance.

The payoff: faster response times, fewer errors, and sharper situational awareness on the battlefield.
