FNSS Builds New Amphibious Vehicle to Power Manned-Unmanned Teaming Ops

Turkish firm FNSS is aiming to protect crews from the most dangerous phase of amphibious assaults with the İ-ZAHA multi-purpose unmanned modular amphibious vehicle (U-MAV).

Weighing 8 tons (7,257 kilograms), the U-MAV reaches speeds of up to 7 knots (13 kilometers/8 miles per hour) in water and 70 kilometers (44 miles) per hour on land.

The vehicle can shift to 10 different mission configurations through interchangeable payload modules that can be replaced in the field in roughly 40 minutes.
