India Puts Jet Power Behind Its New Loitering Munition

India’s push to develop indigenous airborne strike technology reached a new milestone as Kawa UAV’s Divyastra Mk3 loitering munition, powered by a jet engine from DG Propulsion, completed its maiden flight.

Conducted at a drone testing airstrip in Uttar Pradesh, the test began with the integrated system mounted on a moving vehicle.

After the vehicle reached the required speed, the loitering munition launched from the platform and transitioned into flight.
