Investors are backing AI-enabled ground autonomy as defense robotics startup Shifters raises $10.2 million in seed funding to advance autonomous robotic teams for reconnaissance and other high-risk military and security missions.
Investors are backing AI-enabled ground autonomy as defense robotics startup Shifters raises $10.2 million in seed funding to advance autonomous robotic teams for reconnaissance and other high-risk military and security missions.
Led by Ace Capital Partners, the round brings the company’s total funding to $15 million. Shifters said the investment will support AI development, production readiness, and expansion across the US, the Middle East, and Europe.
“The first asset into a dangerous environment should increasingly be a robot, not a person,” Shifters chief executive and co-founder Ofer Ballin said.
