Hyundai is taking physical AI out of the factory and into the military, partnering with the Republic of Korea Army and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Resources to test robots for defense missions.
Hyundai is taking physical AI out of the factory and into the military, partnering with the Republic of Korea Army (ROKA) and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Resources (MOTI) to test robots for defense missions.
Under a memorandum of understanding, the partners will explore applications including logistics automation, supply transport, and perimeter and safety inspections, Chosun Biz reported.
Hyundai will provide technology and personnel, while ROKA will make test sites and infrastructure available. MOTI will support the effort through industrial policies aimed at connecting commercial robotics development with defense needs.
