The agreement covers expendable acoustic countermeasure devices designed to protect naval vessels from incoming torpedoes by generating underwater acoustic signals that confuse or divert threats.
Ultra Maritime said the systems are deployed by multiple navies and are compatible with existing shipboard defense architectures.
Contract value and delivery timelines were not disclosed.
The award builds on Ultra Maritime's earlier selection to provide the Surface Ship Torpedo Defence system for the Hunter-class frigate program, one of Australia's largest active naval procurement efforts.
The Hunter-class frigates, being developed by BAE Systems, are intended to carry advanced anti-submarine warfare capabilities as a central element of Canberra’s naval modernisation strategy.

The contract comes as Australia and allied navies accelerate investment in undersea defense amid intensifying maritime competition in the Indo-Pacific.
