The Australian startup is scaling AI-driven perception systems for drones, ISR missions, and autonomous military operations.
Investors are doubling down on AI-powered battlefield sensing after Arkeus raised 25 million Australian dollars ($18 million) in a Series A funding round to scale its perception technology for allied defense markets.
The company develops AI-enabled sensor systems designed to help autonomous platforms detect, interpret, and respond to their surroundings in real time, particularly in contested or degraded environments.
Its flagship Hyperspectral Optical Radar combines onboard AI with hyperspectral sensing to detect and track targets across multiple domains, with Arkeus claiming detection ranges up to eight times greater than conventional optical systems.
