Located in Oslo, the site consists of advanced research, development, production, and testing infrastructure to scale up production of command and control, intelligence, and cyber solutions.
The milestone comes amid increased demand for data-focused technologies and evolving compute capabilities across NATO and allied forces.
Currently, the center supplies data recording and processing tools for air defense and autonomous systems, including its recently launched proprietary products XSR Spire rugged mission computer and the G2 Ultra rugged network-attached storage.
"The investment in our new Oslo facility strengthens our ability to meet evolving customer demands and deliver the next-generation solutions European and allied forces need to maintain an information advantage across all domains," said Erlend Møyland, CEO of Spectra Norway.
Expanded Reach in Europe
Norway remains a key manufacturing hub for the company, which has distributed mission capabilities to partner militaries for almost 20 years.
Among the facility’s recent major defense projects is support for ongoing integration work with Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace on the Norwegian Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile System program under a framework signed last year.
“The new facility gives our team greater capacity to provide responsive engineering and production while continuing to invest in the trusted solutions and expertise that has made Oslo central to Spectra’s European operations,” Møyland stated.
