The US Air Force has awarded Immersive Wisdom a contract to continue providing distributed communications and operations center software to Pacific Air Forces (PACAF).

Wisdom’s platform is designed to support command-and-control in denied, degraded, intermittent, and limited-bandwidth conditions, where communications cannot be guaranteed.

It runs on standard government-issued laptops and enables dispersed personnel to collaborate in shared digital rooms using voice, chat, geospatial tools, and sensor feeds.

The system also remains functional even when connections drop or shift to backup channels.

‘Major Validation’

The renewal falls under a $25 million Air Combat Command (ACC) contract awarded in 2023 that runs through 2029, allowing units to purchase the Florida-based company’s solution without separate bidding, with PACAF accessing it through this ACC-managed vehicle.

PACAF oversees US air operations across the Indo-Pacific, where commanders expect communications to be contested in a conflict with China or other near-peer adversaries.

Extending the software aligns the Pentagon’s shift toward more resilient command structures and distributed operations, including concepts such as Agile Combat Employment.

“We are extremely honored to continue this critical effort with PACAF to deliver our ultra-low bandwidth communications software across the Indo-Pacific,” said Mike Appelbaum, CEO of Immersive Wisdom.

“This Year 2 renewal, again directly funded by PACAF, is yet another major validation of our ready-now software by operational users and a crystal-clear demand signal of warfighter need.”
