German firm Quantum Systems has upgraded its proprietary Reliant unmanned aerial system, increasing payload capacity and expanding software integration for intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance missions.
German firm Quantum Systems has upgraded its proprietary Reliant unmanned aerial system (UAS), increasing payload capacity and expanding software integration for intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) missions.
The modification incorporates a hybrid-electric power unit and raises the drone’s maximum payload capacity to 9 kilograms (20 pounds).
This allows the vertical takeoff and landing platform to carry a wider range of mission payloads, including electro-optical sensors, laser target designators, synthetic aperture radar, signals intelligence equipment, and satellite communications modules.
