California startup Grid Aero has emerged from stealth with the Lifter-Lite, an autonomous cargo drone it dubs “the pickup truck of the skies.”
Built in just six months, the unmanned vehicle can carry thousands of pounds across vast distances and scale to mission requirements, offering flexibility in payload and range.
It blends traditional controls with artificial intelligence to deliver supplies overseas and support intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance missions even in contested airspace.
