Israel has completed the first flight test of an AI-powered tactical unmanned aerial system designed to detect and track wildfires within minutes of ignition, helping authorities improve situational awareness and emergency response.
Israel has completed the first flight test of an AI-powered tactical unmanned aerial system (UAS) designed to detect and track wildfires within minutes of ignition, helping authorities improve situational awareness and emergency response.
The project brings together the Ministry of National Security, the Israel Innovation Authority, Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), the Technion Israel Institute of Technology, and the Israel Fire and Rescue Authority.
Additional trials will evaluate the system under a range of operational and environmental conditions before it enters service.
