A new lightweight module from Peraso Inc. could help drones move more data without adding significant weight to their communications hardware.

The PRM2145 uses the company’s 60-gigahertz millimeter-wave (mmWave) technology to deliver secure, low-latency communications while keeping power consumption and weight requirements low.

It is positioned to strengthen command-and-control links, support high-definition video transmission, and improve how drones talk to each other while remaining resilient to electronic warfare.
