Digital Concepts Engineering has secured a contract to deliver the British Army’s first operational fleet of unmanned ground vehicles, marking a shift from years of testing toward fielded robotic capability.

Digital Concepts Engineering (DCE) has secured a contract to deliver the British Army’s first operational fleet of unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs), marking a shift from years of testing toward fielded robotic capability.

Under the agreement, the England-based company will deliver 15 of its proprietary X Series Universal Carrier platforms.

DCE described the order as the UK Ministry of Defence’s largest procurement of ground drones to date, though financial details were not disclosed.
