The Ukrainian Marine Corps has introduced its latest unmanned surface vessel, built for the treacherous terrain of rivers and coastal waters.
The Ukrainian Marine Corps has introduced its latest unmanned surface vessel (USV), built for the treacherous terrain of rivers and coastal waters.
Dubbed Barracuda, the modular craft can be fitted with different weapon systems depending on the mission.
While additional details were not disclosed, Ukraine’s 40th Coastal Defense Brigade said the platform carries “elements of artificial intelligence,” suggesting it could operate with greater autonomy — spotting threats, navigating complex waterways, and easing the workload on human operators.
