Ukraine and the Philippines have agreed to draft a formal defense framework focused on joint drone production and sharing lessons from wartime experience.

A Philippine delegation led by National Defense Undersecretary Salvador Mison met with Ihor Zhovkva, deputy head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, in Kyiv to discuss expanding defense cooperation.

The meeting marked the first visit by Philippine defense officials to Ukraine and followed President Volodymyr Zelensky’s visit to Manila in 2024.
