The award comes after a separate $18.5-million contract the company received in May for a one-way unmanned aerial system (UAS) for the military, assisting multiple mission profiles across varying domains.
Corresponding details and timelines of the latest order were not disclosed.
Activities for the initiative will be conducted at the firm’s engineering and production centers in the US.
AEVEX highlighted that its selection is backed by its autonomous platforms and related solutions that support extended flights and high-payload missions.
Each system offered has an adaptable architecture tailored for rapid deployment and less controller workload, all coupled with an integrated engineering and manufacturing network to scale production and respond quickly to operational demands.
In addition to precision strike aircraft, AEVEX’s current portfolio consists of lightweight tactical drones and long-range UAS.
