Quantum tech is being integrated into Heven AeroTech’s hydrogen-powered drones, enabling secure communications, alternative navigation, and autonomous operations.
Quantum tech is taking flight on America’s hydrogen-powered drones, thanks to a new partnership between IonQ and Heven AeroTech.
The collaboration will explore using IonQ’s quantum networking tools to establish secure communication links between unmanned platforms. Quantum computing systems will also support route planning and the integration of drone and satellite imagery.
Meanwhile, quantum sensors will provide alternative positioning and navigation to counter GPS interference, enhancing the drones’ resilience, stealth, and autonomous capabilities in contested environments.
