Leonardo DRS successfully neutralized Group 1 and 2 unmanned aerial systems with its SGT STOUT mission equipment package during a recent US government test event.
Leonardo DRS successfully neutralized Group 1 and 2 unmanned aerial systems (UAS) with its SGT STOUT mission equipment package during a recent US government test event.
The demonstration showed that the maneuver short-range air defense (M-SHORAD) system can respond to evolving airborne threats using software updates alone.
Using its existing configuration, the vehicle detected and engaged simulated small enemy drones through updated detection and fire-control capabilities.
