The British Army’s top officer said the service’s AI-powered battlefield command system has slashed corps-level operational planning cycles by nearly 99 percent, dramatically speeding up military decision-making.

The capability is driven by ASGARD, the UK’s AI digital targeting platform built to support operational planning, target identification, and mission coordination.

According to Chief of the General Staff Gen. Roly Walker, the platform has outperformed initial expectations, allowing headquarters to make decisions faster while increasing the number of targets they can engage during operations.
