The company revealed that the capabilities are on track to be delivered to the country by 2026, with two prototypes already set for military trials this summer.
Around 40 percent of the 62 Caesar 8x8s ordered by Prague will be produced locally, bolstering the country's local industrial base. Companies Excalibur Army, Retia, and Tatra will assemble the 8x8s' communication equipment and fire control system hardware, cabin, and chassis.
KNDS has also set up a Mixed Reality Crew Trainer, allowing the Czech Army's troops to train on the Caesar system without taking the units out of service. Gun crews and maintenance personnel have already been trained in France.
The company will exhibit the vehicle and its latest capabilities at the International Defence and Security Technologies Fair in Brno, southern Czechia.
The Caesar 8x8
Designed to strike targets more than 25 miles (40 kilometers) away, the Caesar 8x8 can fire 155mm, 52-caliber rounds using extended-range full-bore ammunition.
It can travel offroad at 31 miles (50 kilometers) per hour and on the road at double the speed.
The vehicles have been battle-tested, with 19 units donated to Ukraine by Denmark to boost Kyiv's heavy weapons capabilities in the ongoing Russo-Ukrainian War.
