German Firms Build 3D Printer That Follows Soldiers Into Combat

A German partnership could bring 3D printing to disaster zones and frontline soldiers in conflict areas.

Tech firms NEXOS.Group and CR-3D have unveiled FieldRack, a mobile 3D printing tool capable of producing tactical components right at disaster areas or on the battlefields.

The system rides on a ROVO electric all-terrain chassis from HAWE Mattro, letting the printer navigate rugged terrain and operate wherever troops need it.
