The effort centers on expanding the adoption of Keysight’s Electronic Warfare Advanced Simulation Platform (EWASP), which allows defense organizations to test EW systems against realistic threat scenarios in complex radio-frequency environments.
SRC UK will provide engineering, systems integration, mission data expertise, and in-country support to help customers deploy the platform.
The initiative is also intended to help defense organizations carry over existing threat data and legacy test assets into newer architectures, reducing disruption during modernization.
According to the companies, the partnership comes as defense forces face growing pressure to validate increasingly complex EW systems more quickly in contested electromagnetic environments.
It also reflects a broader shift toward software-defined EW architectures that enable faster updates in response to evolving threats.
EWASP System
Keysight’s EWASP is designed to recreate radio-frequency threat environments in a controlled setting, allowing defense developers to test how EW systems detect, analyze, and respond to hostile signals.
Built on an open, modular architecture, the platform supports testing across the full development cycle, from early laboratory work to system validation and mission data verification.
It can simulate complex electromagnetic scenarios, including radar, communications, and jamming signals, enabling engineers to evaluate system performance without relying solely on costly field tests.
Latest Contracts
Keysight has been expanding its footprint in the defense EW and testing sector through recent military contracts.
Last year, NATO selected the company to provide radar target generators and EW simulators for naval testing sites used to assess radar and electronic support systems across allied fleets.
In 2023, Keysight secured an $18-million US Air Force contract to supply Electronic Warfare Threat Simulators designed to model and analyze threat scenarios for operational planning and system evaluation.
