Nokia and NestAI are developing an integrated battlefield capability that combines deployable 5G networks with AI-powered command-and-control software for military operations in denied environments.
The initiative aims to help military forces maintain resilient communications while supporting autonomous systems and AI-assisted decision-making in contested areas where conventional infrastructure may be unavailable.
“Most defense AI is built on assumptions about connectivity, sensor access, and infrastructure that do not hold in contested environments,” said Peter Sarlin, founder and executive chairman of NestAI.
