The UK MoD has extended a contract with SEA to include submarine electronic and defense systems as part of Phase 3 of the Royal Navy’s NSIPS.
The UK Ministry of Defence has extended a contract with SEA to include submarine electronic and defense systems as part of Phase 3 of the Royal Navy’s Naval Systems Integration Process Service (NSIPS) program.
The contracted work, which will be completed later this year, involves modifying and repairing existing combat systems, forecasting naval authority updates, coding new equipment requests, and transparent data processing for the stakeholder community.
It also covers Royal Navy warship systems on the Queen Elizabeth Carriers and Type 45 Destroyer recently brought under the extended contract.
The deal follows the three-year contract awarded to SEA in July 2021 valued at 1.88 to 2.5 million pounds ($2.58 to $3 million) depending on an optional two-year extension.
Per the initial contract signed by Maritime Combat Systems Integration Authority, SEA will continue to provide support for the navy’s GRIFFIN NSIPS database.
