Sparc AI has launched its Overwatch Positioning Network in Ukraine, using data centers to process drones’ existing sensor data and return the drone’s position in roughly one-third of a second, without requiring additional hardware or software on the aircraft.

When GPS signals are jammed or spoofed, drones can lose one of the key tools they rely on to determine their location.

Sparc AI has launched its Overwatch Positioning Network in Ukraine, using data centers to process drones’ existing sensor data and return the drone’s position in roughly one-third of a second, without requiring additional hardware or software on the aircraft.

The system sends a drone’s telemetry to Overwatch through an application programming interface, where Sparc AI uses terrain models and sensor-fusion algorithms to calculate its position before returning the coordinates.
