The UK is adapting to the changing demands of modern warfare by bringing scientists, soldiers, and industry partners together to develop new drone and counter-drone capabilities through two major projects.
The UK is adapting to the changing demands of modern warfare by bringing scientists, soldiers, and industry partners together to develop new drone and counter-drone capabilities through two major projects.
The first, Project VANAHEIM, aims to improve how light infantry units detect, respond to, and counter a range of drone threats.
It builds on the British Army’s RAPSTONE program, which seeks to accelerate the adoption of new drones, loitering munitions, electronic warfare systems, and other battlefield technologies.
