Ukraine's military said that every $1 invested in strike operations generated nearly $5 in Russian losses in June, based on battlefield data collected through its DELTA combat management system.
The figures come from Mission Control, a module within DELTA that records combat missions and allows military personnel to assess their results.
Ukraine's Ministry of Defense said the system has processed about 50,000 missions since its introduction six months ago and now receives more than 230,000 reports each week.
Mission Control tracks the cost of individual operations and compares it with the estimated value of Russian equipment and personnel losses.
In June, Ukraine said it spent an average of $3,032 to inflict one enemy personnel casualty, $2,674 to strike a piece of equipment, and $1,487 to hit an infrastructure target.
The system also records the value of Russian assets destroyed, from telecommunications equipment worth around $100 to air defense systems and other high-value targets worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Units can use the resulting data to assess which weapons are most effective, how much individual missions cost, and what damage they cause.
The Mission Control data is part of Ukraine's efforts to make battlefield decisions more data-driven. DELTA was deployed across the country's defense forces in 2025 and provides real-time battlefield awareness, operational planning, and information sharing across military units.
Ukraine Seeks Lower-Cost Strike Operations
Ukrainian companies have increasingly sought and developed low-cost technologies to compensate for resource constraints and improve the efficiency of military operations.
In June, General Cherry introduced Sweetheart, a fixed-wing reconnaissance drone designed to collect intelligence beyond the front lines while operating in electronically contested environments.
Earlier, in April, Kyiv-based Fire Point began developing what it describes as a lower-cost alternative to the US Patriot air defense system. The company is working with European partners to explore radar, missile guidance, and communications technologies, with the goal of reducing the cost of intercepting ballistic missiles.
The push follows a February initiative by Britain, France, Germany, Italy, and Poland to develop low-cost drones and autonomous platforms under the Low-Cost Effectors and Autonomous Platforms program. The effort reflects growing European interest in affordable unmanned systems as the war in Ukraine drives changes in battlefield and air defense requirements.
