Six weeks was all Thales Australia needed to design, build, and live-fire a prototype of its new “Guardian Angel” autonomous 8x4 unmanned ground vehicle (UGV).

Built to reduce troop exposure in high-risk environments, the multi-role platform can be configured for medical evacuation, reconnaissance, troop and fire support, and cargo transport.

It also supports containerized mission payloads, remote weapon stations, and communications systems.
