AI Becomes Extra Set of Eyes in Leonardo’s New Rugged Display for Tactical Vehicles

Leonardo DRS has debuted its latest hardware for the modern battlefield: the Rugged Smart Displays – Ground (RSD-G) for combat vehicles.

The RSD-G is a next-gen tactical computing system that uses AI to chew massive amounts of sensor data and provide a clear, real-time view of what’s happening outside the hatch.

It acts as an extra set of eyes for crews, with the embedded AI pulling feeds from cameras, radar, thermal imaging, and other vehicle sensors, then fusing them into a single battlefield picture.
